Limited Edition WAG100 Clothing Line the Perfect Holiday Gift!

One of the many ways the Winnipeg Art Gallery is celebrating its Centennial year is with the production of an ultra chic clothing line for adults and children. Available at the Gallery Shop, the WAG100 line includes t-shirts, tanks, sweats, and hoodies. Screen-printed with past WAG exhibition posters designed by artists Bill Lobchuck, Don Proch, George Swinton, and others, these unique threads are perfect gifts for any art lover.

“We have a special offer for WAG members on November 28, 29, and 30—20% off on all items in the Shop,” says Gallery Shop Manager Sherri Van Went. “So this is a great opportunity for people to become members and take part in all our Centennial celebrations. They can visit the Shop, buy a membership, and then use their discount to purchase items for everyone on their gift list. And we will be serving cookies and hot drinks to help get everyone in the mood!”

Plus, with every purchase of $50 or more at the Gallery Shop, visitors get two-for-one admission to see Winnipeg Now, the WAG’s first Centennial exhibition. Featuring new art by 13 of the most significant contemporary artists connected to the Winnipeg scene, Winnipeg Now is on view until December 30, 2012.

In addition to the clothing line, WAG100 merchandise includes tote bags screen-printed with Drum Dance by Inuit artist Luke Anguhadluq, pencil crayons, sketch kits, and travel mugs. Not to mention decadent chocolate bars commissioned from Winnipeg chocolatier Constance Popp.
