Day Eight: Get the Shot

First Ministers Tour

I will always be my own worst enemy as a photographer.

Good photographers push to the front of a crowd, bully people into formation - basically they do whatever it takes to get the shot. I'm shy. I hang back in crowds. I don't like to push people around at the best of times. And last night wasn't the "best of times" given that I was snapping pics of some very powerful potentates.

"Excuse me, Minister? Can you bend down on the sculpture's level, crane your neck and smiiiiiiile, please?"

Yeah. Not my style. I'm crossing my fingers that my wallflower-style photos turn out anyways.

Any advice from the photogs out there?
