At 7pm on Saturday, April 23, we are screening the film KOOP, that follows Winnipeg painter Wanda Koop as she sails down the Saint Lawrence on a freighter, looking for inspiration. Sketches, photographs, and moments of observation led to a new group of astonishing paintings. Filmed also in Wanda's studio and during her WAG exhibition last fall, KOOP is an exciting look into the creative process of someone who has been hailed by Time magazine as one of Canada's best artists. Tickets are only $10 at the door, and include the film, a Q&A with Wanda and the director Katherine Knight, and a reception. Don't miss it!
