Draught Screen

A threefold mahogany draught screen, each fold enclosing a silk work embroidery on a ground of Oak woven-silk damask under glazed panel, possibly designed by May Morris and depicting flowering foliage worked in coloured silks, enclosed by a frame with curved tops and simple frieze below of lozenge molding likely designed and worked by George Jack.

Fire Screen

A folding fire screen composed of seven panels of painted and leaded glass, all but one of autumnal shaded branches and leaves. The largest, central panel is composed of a circular roundel of leaded glass depicting a woman with long curly blond hair dressed in a red robe with white column. Her right hand clasps a peach, the left hand is raised at 90ยบ to her face with index finger pointing to her right. The carved wooden oak frame features a spindled skirt on outswept legs.

Die Beichte (The Confession)

A view of a dark church interior showing a man and woman praying in the foreground. The woman is wearing a green dress and is on her knees, the man is wearing a red robe and standing but both have their hands folded in prayer. In the background, men and women are on their knees reaching toward the altar at which a priest is standing in front of a crucifix with his hands outstretched as if giving a sermon.
