Art Class Exhibitions
Through the Eyes of a Child
March 26-May 9, 2016
Dr. Ernest Cholakis, Chair, WAG Board of Directors, and Dr. Stephen Borys, WAG Director & CEO, invite you to celebrate the opening of Through the Eyes of a Child. This year marks the exhibition’s 30th anniversary and the 80th anniversary of WAG Studio. Join us to celebrate the work of 630 young artists who participated in WAG Studio classes this fall and winter. Come together with past students and instructors who have helped make WAG Studio one of the largest gallery-run art schools in Canada.
Free event • Remarks and refreshments in Eckhardt Hall will be followed by an open house with art-making workshops at WAG Studio. Watch for more details!
Through the Eyes of a Child highlights the creations of the young people who attend art classes at WAG Studio. Although the artists represent a wide array of backgrounds, one common thread ties this exhibit together: the fearlessness, honesty, and creativity of a young mind that emerge through art.
