Be Part of the Art for Life with a Planned Gift
Your commitment today to the Winnipeg Art Gallery has impact tomorrow with a planned gift. By making a bequest or another planned gift you play a vital role enriching, inspiring and engaging people with the world of art.
Your planned gift ensures that the WAG will continue to be the lens that enables people to see more of life and society through the experience of art and artistic innovation.
Types of planned gifts include:
- Bequest / Will - A gift stated in your will in the form of a designated amount, or percentage of your estate.
- Gifts of life insurance - A gift that names the Winnipeg Art Gallery as a beneficiary of the life insurance policy proceeds.
- Gifts of stock and securities - A gift of publicly traded shares or securities donated to the Winnipeg Art Gallery that is not subject to any capital gains tax.
- Gift of property - The Winnipeg Art Gallery's collection has grown to 25,000 works of art due to the generous donations from art collectors. Included in this number are 11,000 Inuit art items making up the largest contemporary collection of Inuit art in the world. A gift of property such as works of art can be receipted for the appraised value of the item.
