In this series, both Western and Eastern influences, symbolism and art history are embraced, and together they facilitate the narrative of Snow White. However, the imagery, informed by historical Japanese screens, is a significant departure from tradition. The flowers are drawn directly on canvas from observation at the Assiniboine Park Conservatory.
