Family Holiday Party 2013

Authored by: Nicole Fletcher on November 25, 2013

Festive origami creations!

How often do you get to help decorate a massive tree? This Sunday the WAG will be hosting their annual Tree Trimming Party. This is one of my favourite family events that the WAG hosts because (1) I love seeing all of the great ornaments that kids make and (2) it's FREE!

This year, artist Carol Ball will be leading an origami ornament workshop! I am continually amazed by the fantastic origami works that people can create so I can't wait to see our gorgeous and gigantic tree covered in beautiful paper ornaments. New this year, some dancers from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet will also be stopping by along with Filbert the dancing bear from the Nutcracker.  And of course, what holiday party would be complete without a visit from Santa?

Have you put up your holiday decorations yet? Will you be going to the WAG this Sunday to help us decorate? Please leave your comments in the comments section below.

Help the WAG keep family programs like our Tree Trimming Party free by donating to Youth Programs.
