Purple textured glass sculpture of a man, possibly a knight, on horseback. The figures are slightly abstracted and simplified into flattened planes, and are without features.
The patch box is of ivory, with a hinged cover and applied rectangular gold plaque at centre of cover for engraving (empty). The hinge and the hemispherical press-stud for opening are of gold. The interior of the cover holds a mirror, the backing wearing away at the edges and is of a general cloudiness. The box is divided into three vertical partitions. The two outer and larger have gold-hinged ivory covers, the centre and narrower partition is lined with velvet fabric and has no cover.

Bottom and sides are enamelled in translucent royal blue over a guilloche background. The base is bordered quite generously with mid-blue swags and gold partial leaves. The sides of the box feature chamfered corners, decorated with a gold palmette and hanging diadem within a shield cartouche. Bordered by a delicate set of half-pearls, the painted surface carries a scene taken from the tragedy of Orpheus and Eurydice. The painting details the moment when Orpheus has requested permission to leave the underworld with Eurydice. Cerberus, the three-headed dog guarding the gates of the underworld, snarls from the lower left though he allows the two passage. Hades and Persephone discuss granting their approval of the lovers departure.
An oval tea caddy featuring a Neoclassical urn decorative motif. The blond-wood urn is draped with a husk festoon and set within a small puddle of water and a backdrop of symmetrical sheafs of vegetation. The lid features an entwined ribbon cartouche. The interior is an open compartment.
The work box has a domed top, foliate finial and turned feet. The top is composed of large, radiating segments of buffalo horn. The horn features a lovely green patina. The wood interior featuring multiple compartments of various sizes, some of which carry horn covers, and wood and ivory inlay. The work tools are no longer present (this is not uncommon).
An elliptical tea caddy with ornate decoration on the front created through dense placement of small coils of paper filigree. The body of the box is treated as two rectangular planes framed by wood inlay. The filigree decoration consists of discrete corner articulation, clusters of tighly wound circles and a larger fanned, pinwheel motif in the centre. The paper has been gilded to mimic "filigree" which is defined as thin sheets of precious metal such as gold folded up. The interior of the box is divided into two compartments.
Composed of a stationery chest, writing tablet cover, inkwell on tray, postal scale and open letter box, this desk set features decorative wood veneer, elaborate and exaggerated brass bindings, and jasper-ware plaques. Different treatments are used to line the implements: silk, velvet and leather. The jasper-ware plaques show classical figures and are of high quality, displaying skilled carving. Under magnification, it becomes evident that the wood veneer has been enhanced by stains to appear burred and thus more exotic.
This distinctive box, rectangular at base with curved Tambour top with opening mechanism, reveals a silk lined interior and multiple tools (17) for writing and sewing. The exterior of the box features treated steel with ivory decorative knobs. The curved lid retracts after the centre rear top is depressed. The various implements housed inside feature silver or steel metal implements fit to mother-of-pearl handles by gold or gilt bands. The handles carry a medallion with a pansy-an identifier of Palais Royal production. The tools are fitted into specific recessed spaces in lift-out trays covered in velvet. Some tools are entirely made from mother-of-pearl such as the thimbles, whereas others are entirely carved from ivory. There are also three glass bottles.
Snuff box of gold inset with a rectangular piece of agate featuring a raised cameo depicting a goddess with billowing robes astride a tiger. A ripple pennant declares Zenaide. The cover features a foliate and scroll border around the agate and the sides carry a classical acanthus leaf motif border. The underside features a gold rectangle with repetitive chevron motifs inset within a simpler scroll border
