The Winnipeg Art Gallery, partnering with Artbeat Studio Inc., presents Out of Mind - Into Creativity a symposium on the topic of mental health and the arts. This important event will explore the relationship between creativity and mental health, open up discussions on its links to social inclusion and the participatory arts and work towards dispelling stigma. This two day symposium will be held in the WAG’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium on November 24 and 25.

Four Hundred Years of Violins at the WAG

Violins in the galleries! Music in the Galleries, a fascinating presentation at the Winnipeg Art Gallery at 7:30pm on Thursday, October 27 will feature the WSO’s Associate Concertmaster Karl Stobbe with an in-depth presentation of several interesting and important violins and bows dating back to the 1600s. Beneath Renaissance and Baroque paintings in the WAG’s Collection on View exhibition, Stobbe will link music and art.
