WAG Extends Labour Day Hours

Due to the amazing response to the exhibition  100 Masters: Only in Canada, the Winnipeg Art Gallery has extended its hours on Labour Day from 9am to 9pm

“We knew from experience that the final few days of the exhibition would be extremely busy, but we had no idea of the massive numbers we would actually draw,” says WAG Director Stephen Borys. “Our attendance is growing every day as the exhibition draws to a close. We don’t want to disappoint anyone, so we have decided to extend our hours for the final day.”

To add to the excitement,  there will be live music, chalk art, food carts, and more in front of the WAG building. Storm Bistro on the WAG’s penthouse level will also be open from 9am to 5pm on Labour Day.

As of August 29, attendance was close to 55,000, and Borys expects 60,000 visitors will have seen the exhibition by the time it closes at 9pm, September 2.

The WAG has already extended its hours 11am to 9pm Friday and Saturday, and from 10am to 6pm on Sunday.
