Spend “Time” at the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Family Sunday

It’s all about time at the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s Family Sunday from 1:30 to 4pm on Sunday, October 13. What does time really mean? What would it be like to travel back or forward through time?

At the WAG’s Time Travellers Family Sunday you can explore all aspects of time. Play thematic games from 1:30-2pm. Design your own clock from 2-4pm. Take an interactive tour that explores life in other times from 2-2:45pm and 3-3:45pm.

And be sure to view Christian Marclay’s The Clock, a cinematic tour-de-force that unfolds on the screen in real time through thousands of film excerpts that form a 24-hour montage. You’ll come for 10 minutes and stay for 2 hours!

“Family Sundays are a great way for parents, grandparents, and kids to have fun together and learn about art,” says Art Educator Sophie Begin. “The Gallery is full of activities that get everyone involved.”

Admission to Family Sunday is $10 per family.

Family Sunday is sponsored by the Winnipeg Free Press and Virgin 103.1 FM.
