2014 Cannes Lions – Winnipeg Premiere of World’s Best Commercials at WAG

Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 24, 2014:  From around the world to the Canadian prairies, the winners of the 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity are coming to the Winnipeg Art Gallery. This annual compilation of award-winning commercials is being screened on select dates in December in the WAG’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Representing almost every continent and spanning a multitude of cultures, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Tickets are on sale now:
Thursday, December 4 at 7pm
Friday, December 5 at 7pm, 9:30pm
Saturday, December 6 at 1:30pm, 4:30pm, 7pm, 9:30pm
Thursday, December 11 at 7pm
Friday, December 12 at 7pm, 9:30pm
Thursday, December 18 at 7pm
Friday, December 19 at 7pm, 9:30pm

Tickets are $12 for WAG members, seniors, and students, and $14 for non-members. They are available at wag.ca or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to get tickets early. Soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at screenings.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, over 37,427 entries from 94 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning companies receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
