WAG Offers Encore of World’s Best Commercials

Winnipeg, Manitoba, March 12, 2015:  The 2014 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is back for a limited time at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. From around the world to the Canadian prairies, this annual compilation of award-winning commercials is being screened on select dates in April at the WAG’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Representing almost every continent and spanning a multitude of cultures, these ads are a fascinating
window to the world. Tickets are on sale now for the following dates:
Wednesday, April 1: 4:30pm, 7pm, 9:30pm
Thursday, April 2: 7pm, 9:30pm
Saturday, April 4: 4:30pm, 7pm, 9:30pm

Tickets are $12 for WAG members, seniors, and students, and $14 for non-members. They are available at wag.ca or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to get tickets early. Soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase on site. Private screenings are available for organizations. The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, over 37,427 entries from 94 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning companies receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
