WAG’s Family Sunday Gets Spooky!

It’s goblins, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night at the Winnipeg Art Gallery’s October 25 Family Sunday. There is free admission to the Gallery all day from 11am to 5pm, with Family Sunday activities taking place from 1:30 to 4pm.

Explore the dark, mysterious, haunted sculpture gallery—you might even meet one of the WAG’s resident ghosts! Sing and dance along to spooky tunes with Sister Dorothy. Shiver with delight as the characters in the photographs of the exhibition Yousuf Karsh: Regarding Heroes come to life to tell you their stories.

Add to the spirit of the day by coming in your Halloween costume. Or head over to our studio building where our artist instructors will help you create a costume, props, or masks for the big night.

“Family Sunday is always a lot of fun,” says Aline Frechette, Youth Programs Coordinator. “But this one is even more special because children will have the chance to get in the spirit of Halloween at the WAG for the very first time!”

But this time with all the eerie, spooky stuff going on, we are really looking forward to a fun afternoon with parents, grandparents, and young children.”

Family Sunday is made possible with the generous support of the McCain Foundation and the Graham C. Lount Foundation.
