WAG Studio Launches MakerLab with Sold Out Garden Terrarium Workshop

Winnipeg, Manitoba, October 20, 2015: WAG Studio is excited to introduce MakerLab, a funky new series of DIY workshops offered in the evening. The pilot MakerLab, Little Green Oasis on Tuesday, October 20 (7-9pm), is already sold out! New MakerLabs are being planned for the coming months and will be announced soon.

“MakerLab is a brand new series of workshops that focus on do-it-yourself creative projects,” comments Diane Lafournaise, Manager of WAG Studio. “There are so many DIY ideas we’re excited to explore with innovative local crafters, makers, and artisans. MakerLabs are a great venue to get creative and experience the satisfaction of crafting something with your hands alongside like-minded adventurers.  You don’t need to be a practising artist to participate. Just come, relax and have fun!”

In MakerLab: Little Green Oasis, participants will learn how to build their own garden terrarium with Dominika Dratwa of Verde Terrariums. Dratwa is inspired by her love of nature and passion for creating beautiful living works of art for home and workspaces. Terrariums provide an escape into a miniature world, promoting a sense of peace and joy. Learn more at wag.ca/makerlab or verdeterrariums.com, and follow Dominika on Instagram @verdeterrarium.

Check out the newly renovated WAG Studio Lounge and enjoy a handcrafted coffee.
