2015 Cannes Lions – Winnipeg Premiere of World’s Best Commercials at WAG

Winnipeg, Manitoba, December 10, 2015:  The Winnipeg Art Gallery will showcase the winners of the 2015 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This annual compilation of the best commercials of the year is being screened December 17 to 21 in the WAG’s Muriel Richardson Auditorium.

Representing almost every continent and spanning cultures from around the world, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Tickets are on sale now:
Thursday, December 17, 7:00pm
Friday, December 18, 7:00pm, 9:30pm
Saturday, December 19, 1:00pm, 3:30pm, 7:00pm
Sunday, December 20, 1:00pm, 3:30pm, 7:00pm
Doors open one hour before the first showing, rushed seating. 

Tickets: $12 for WAG members, seniors, and students, and $14 for non-members; available at wag.ca or in person at the WAG front desk. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to purchase in advance. Soft drinks and snacks will be available for purchase at screenings, as well as a cash bar in evenings.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, nearly 40,000 entries from close to 100 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning organizations receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
