WAG Hosts Winnipeg Premiere of Cannes Lions 2017 – World’s Best Commercials

Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 14, 2017:  Tickets are now on sale to see the winners of the 2017 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. This annual compilation of the world’s best commercials is being screened December 14 to 16, 22, 27, and 29. 

Representing almost every continent and spanning cultures from around the globe, these ads are a fascinating window to the world.

Dates and show times:
Thursday, December 14: 7:00pm
Friday, December 15: 7:00pm
Saturday, December 16: 3:30pm & 7:00pm
Friday, December 22: 7:00pm
Wednesday, December 27: 3:30pm & 7:00pm
Friday, December 29: 7:00pm

Doors open one hour before the first showing, rush seating. 

Tickets are available online and at the frontdesk: $15 or $13 for WAG members, seniors, and students; visit wag.ca or call 204.786.6641. Many shows sell out, so it is recommended to purchase tickets in advance. Cash bar includes alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity is the world's biggest celebration of creativity in communications. As the most prestigious international annual advertising awards, nearly 40,000 entries from close to 100 countries are showcased and judged at the festival. Winning organizations receive the highly coveted Lion trophy, benchmarking innovation in anything from mobile and billboards to design and branded content.
