Learn step-by-step how to create your own succulent and cacti habitat. Create a terrarium, approximately 5 ½” tall and 6” diameter.  Featuring three plants, one granite stone, one quartz stone, moss, sand, soil, charcoal, and drainage stones. All materials and instructions provided.

MakerLab: Le Petit Point with Chantal Alary

Using  a lap loom frame, you’ll create your own hand-woven wall hanging. Using various textures of wool and roving, you’ll learn how to warp your loom and weave using several techniques. The end result is a beautiful woven piece of art to hang in your home that plays with geometry, colour, and texture.

This beginners’ course will introduce you to basic colour theory and handling of your choice of either acrylic or water soluable oil paints. You’ll work from still life arrangements, do colour exercises, and learn about basic elements such as compotision and shape, and how colour is used to create a sense of depth. Critiques will help you gain an understanding of what is involved in making a well-compsed painting.
