Make a simple, versatile, and stylish vegetable-tanned belt from a piece of 9-10oz leather. This natural toned belt measures 1 1/4” in width and features an antique brass buckle with two rivets.  No dyeing or drying time required.

Learn step-by-step how to create your own succulent and cacti habitat. Create a terrarium, approximately 5 ½” tall and 6” diameter.  Featuring three plants, one granite stone, one quartz stone, moss, sand, soil, charcoal, and drainage stones. All materials and instructions provided.

MakerLab: Le Petit Point with Chantal Alary

Using  a lap loom frame, you’ll create your own hand-woven wall hanging. Using various textures of wool and roving, you’ll learn how to warp your loom and weave using several techniques. The end result is a beautiful woven piece of art to hang in your home that plays with geometry, colour, and texture.

Adults provide their own tools and supplies for classes unless otherwise indicated. Basic drawing and painting materials are provided for the first class, at which time supply lists are distributed.  For special workshops, pottery, and sculpture, supplies are generally included in the class cost. Students must provide their own tools for clay classes.

Retrain your brain! For students with little or no drawing experience, this introduction to the fundamental techniques and concepts of drawing will sharpen observational skills and build confidence. Acrylic Painting

This course focuses on monochromatic and colour theory, form, shading, various ways to describe space, use of light,compositional arrangements, and the particularities of painting with acrylics. Learn how to create a 3-D object on a 2-D surface(canvas) and work with mediums involving acrylic paint.
