Summer Art Camps

Tuesday, July 2 to Friday, August 23

Discover your inner artist this summer and come to the WAG for the ultimate art camp experience! Using themes based on the blockbuster exhibition 100 Masters: Only in Canada, campers will have the opportunity to create inspiring works of art, venture out on exciting field trips, and stage their very own mini-exhibition at the end of the week.  Choose from 4 exciting weekly themes.  

Ages 6-10

Around the World in 4 days
July 2-5  and August  6-9 • Your passport to adventure! Travel through time and space as you explore faraway lands and cultures. Fasten your seatbelts and prepare to journey ‘round the globe to discover a fascinating array of people, plants and creatures that are sure to inspire you!

Cabinet of Curiosities
July 8-12 and July 29-August 2  • Are you a collector of strange and curious things? What items or objects sit on the dresser and shelves in your room? Explore the riches of the WAG collection. Discover the bizarre and often surprising stories behind different works of art. Then unleash your imagination to create an amazing collection of curiosities of your own!

Myths and Legends
July 15-19 and August 12-16 • Mythical creatures! Heroes and Heroines! Epic battles! Lose yourself in the ancient legends and myths depicted by some of the great artists of our time. Become a grand storyteller. Develop your own spell-binding plot and create an unforgettable world of legendary characters and creatures veiled in mystery, magic and intrigue!

Ages 11-13 

Off the Wall
July 22-26 & August 19-23 • Do you dig things that are truly unique and out of the ordinary? Join us for a fun week of wild experimentation in the art studio. Learn about the work and techniques of master artists past and present. Explore intriguing themes and subjects. Experiment using new media and a variety of highly unconventional materials to create art that reflects you and your one-of-a-kind vision of the world! Creativity knows no bounds!
