Group Tours for Kids
Choose from an array of interactive tours and workshops, perfect for daycares, sports teams, scouts, guides, home schoolers, or groups of friends! Tours available Friday from 5-9pm, Saturday and Sunday 11am-5pm. Visit wag.ca/bookatour to reserve your spot.

 

 

Spring Break Art Camp

Monday, March 27 to Friday, March 31

Ages 6-12 • $50 for non-members/$45 for members, per day

Camp runs 9am-4pm • Early drop-off/late pick-up 8:30am-5pm

Get creative with a new theme every day! Campers will have fun experimenting with new art forms, playing active games, and seeing art in the galleries.

Monday • Animation Nation: Come to the WAG and explore some animation basics. Top off the day by watching mini movies you make!

Tuesday • Birds, Bees, and Buds: The signs of spring are all around. Celebrate the season with nature-inspired art making!

Wednesday • Clay Day Yay: Do you like getting your hands dirty? Then this is the camp for you! Make a masterpiece with self-hardening clay and take it home the same day.

Thursday • Gallery Zoo: Did you know there are animals in the gallery? Come and see for yourself and capture your favourites by creating a piece of art.

Friday • Oodles of Doodles: Get down and get funky like a drawing monkey! Enjoy zany drawing activities all day long.

Family Fusion

Tuesday, March 28 to Sunday, June 18

Family Fusion is a monthly DIY arts and crafts event – stop by the WAG with your family and spend some creative time together!

Drop-in between 1pm and 3pm • $20 per family (2 adults and up to 4 children under 18) • $10 per family for WAG members

Tuesday, March 28 • Spaceships & Dinosaurs - Visit the past in our crazy time machine spaceships and draw dinosaurs in their ancient habitats!

Thursday, March 30 • Easy-Peasy Beading-Big - Beads, little beads, burlap, and ribbon are woven together to create beautiful mini wall hangings.

Sunday, April 16 • April Showers and May Flowers - Get inspired by the wonderful patterns in nature and make a beautiful stencilled print.

Sunday, May 14 • Mother's Day: Picasso Tea Party - Enjoy a cup of tea with mom and create a colorful double portrait inspired by Picasso.

Sunday, June 18 • Father’s Day: Kite Building & Wind Sock Workshop - Help Dad build the kite he has always wanted on his special day!

Summer Art Camp

Tuesday, July 4 to Friday, August 11

Ages 6-8 and 9-12 • Week-long sessions • July 4-Aug 11
Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm • Early drop-off from 8:30am and late pick up until 5pm

Registration opens March 7!

Campers will explore gallery exhibitions, create art, go on exciting field trips, and stage their own mini-exhibition at the end of the week.

$225/week • $200/week for WAG members
Short weeks July 4-7 & Aug 8-11:
$200/week • $180/week for WAG members

Choose from three exciting themes:
Downtown: Listen to the music of the traffic in the city and linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty! Join us for a multi-media exploration of our city to discover that art is all around. Once back in the studio with sketches and ideas campers will create their own city using a multitude of art materials.

Oh Canada! celebrates Canada’s 150th birthday with artmaking and games focused on the wonders of Canada’s luscious landscapes, many of which can be seen in the Gallery. This session is topped off with a big birthday party that the campers plan for friends and family to enjoy.

Painting with Picasso: This summer, Picasso is in the house! Campers will create their own masterpieces inspired by one of the greatest artists of all time, Pablo Picasso.

Week 1, July 4-7 • Ages: 9-12 • Theme: Downtown!
Week 2, July 10-14 • Ages: 6-8 • Theme: Oh Canada!
Week 3, July 17-21 • Ages: 9-12 • Theme: Oh Canada!
Week 4, July 24-28 • Ages: 6-8 • Theme: Painting with Picasso
Week 5, July 31-Aug 4 • Ages: 9-12 • Theme: Painting with Picasso
Week 6, Aug 8-11 • Ages: 6-8 • Theme: Downtown!
