Student Art Board

The WAG's Student Art Board provides teenagers with the opportunity to explore their creativity and design their own WAG-inspired events (while earning a high-school volunteer credit!). Schools  nominate students to sit on this board which meets regularly with WAG staff to discuss and implement programs and events aimed at a teen audience.

Daniel Buckland was a member of the Student Art Board in the fall/winter of 2010-2011. Click here to read about his activities and how much he enjoyed it.

Attention high school students and teachers!

Do you love art? Do you have a student who loves art? Why not become part of the WAG Student Art Board. Last year's Board visited the studio of artist Wanda Koop. They assisted at special events like the Christmas Tree Trimming Party. They created well-attended painting and drawing parties for high-school students. They did critiques of each other's works, and created new works in response to the Fernando Botero exhibition. They had a wonderful year—why don't you share the fun this year!

If you are a student, print out this form and bring it to your art teacher to send in. Teachers, if you have a student whom you think would be interested, print it off and send it in to afrechette@wag.ca

Teachers, check out all the programs for teachers in our Teachers' Club.
