Art City: A Documentary

Art City, MTS TV Winnipeg On Demand, and the Winnipeg Art Gallery cordially invite you to the free premiere of Art City, a new feature documentary by Scott Collins and Anita Lebeau.

What began as a chance encounter on a city bus (between Art City Artistic Director Eddie Ayoub, and MTS TV Winnipeg On Demand Executive Producer Cam Bennett) has culminated in a heart-warming and candid documentary about West Broadway’s friendly community art studio, Art City.

Follow filmmakers Collins and Lebeau from the inception of a revolutionary idea that became Art City, to a larger than life celebration of community art at 2011’s Body Movin’ Parade. Full of interviews (including a first-hand account of how Art City was created by internationally renowned artist and Art City Founder Wanda Koop) and tons of archival photographs, this documentary captures the essence of the Art City legacy.

Screening will be followed by cookies and coffee. The event is free-of-charge but donations are warmly received.
