Acclaimed Canadian writer/director Danishka Esterhazy is celebrated for her visually stunning and character-driven films that have been screened at festivals in Spain, South Korea, France, Hollywood, Italy, and all across Canada. The screening will followed by a question and answer with Esterhazy. It is included with the cost of Gallery admission.
The Red Hood
A dark re-telling of the classic fable Little Red Riding Hood, set in the Canadian prairie during the Great Depression.
The Snow Queen
Set in Winnipeg's North End, ten-year old Talia finds the real world turning sour and finds shelter in a fantasy world of ice and snow. But as life become more and more difficult, Talis's daydreams become less protective and more menacing.
