Introduction to Crochet: Throw Blankets
Saturday, November 4 from 2:30pm to 5:30pm
Learn to crochet your own throw blanket to stay cozy warm all winter long, with Shantel Saliga of Hook & Barrel. Participants will be taught all skills required to create a crocheted granny square-style blanket. The first part of the class will be dedicated to skill-building, and the second half will be dedicated to starting the blanket project. As crocheting is a practice-makes-perfect type of craft, participants will take some materials and the know-how to complete the blanket at home.
Students will be provided with materials to create a small blanket. Additional materials may be purchased to make a larger blanket once the student is more comfortable crocheting. No previous experience with knitting or crocheting is required.
• Size 8 crochet hook
• Yarn needle
Loops & Threads "Charisma" yarn – three skeins to be provided in class. Colour schemes to be determined. Students can purchase more yarn should they wish to make a larger blanket.
Class Price: $50
Kit Fee: $30
