Inspired by the opening of the CMHR, a collection of work that speaks to the theme of human rights. Edward Burtynsky and industry, Jack Shadbolt and World War II, Jamasie Pitseolak and residential school, and more.
5:45pm • Tour of Bringing Shadow into Lightwith Andrew Kear, Curator of Historical and Canadian Art
Highlights include major works by William Kurelek, historical 20th century artists with links to Manitoba, including Bertam Brooker, Fritz Brandtner, and Philip Surrey, as well as prints by such Canadian artists as Edwin Holgate, Sybil Andrews, and Cecil Buller.
