On Free Sunday, discover the 185,000-square-foot cultural campus that is WAG-Qaumajuq, including the stunning Visible Vault showcasing thousands of carvings and much more.
On September 10, you can explore the current exhibitions like Inuit Sanaugangit: Art Across Time and Anaanatta Unikkaangit, Our Mother’s Stories, which share themes of space and time. Our past and future are always here with us in the present. The space all around us is filled with the energy of our ancestors. The works are activated and communicate Indigenous knowledge.
We hope you’ll join us for our craft activity inspired by the art on display. We’ll be creating 3D paper sculptures that awaken an awareness that the negative space around us is filled with energy that is not usually visible to the naked eye.
Free public parking is available at the Canada Life parking lot behind 100 Osborne Street North for visitors on Canada Life Free Sundays@WAG-Qaumajuq. As well, downtown street parking is free Sundays, and several bus routes service Portage Avenue & Colony Street as well as Portage Avenue & Vaughn Street.
WAG-Qaumajuq an accessible space. There are gender neutral washrooms on every floor of WAG-Qaumajuq. Quiet spaces are available if needed and armless chairs are available. Click here for more accessibility information.
