The Good Will and the WAG present Amos the Kid!
Due to thunderstorms on August 13, we decided to postpone this event to September 24, 2020. Please do not hesitate to email questions to learn@wag.ca if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for supporting the WAG and The Good Will in hosting local musicians on our rooftop!

Enjoy summer nights and amazing skyline views as you support local artists, performers, and other groups on the WAG’s stunning Rooftop Sculpture Garden!

Join us for this Rooftop Pop-Up on Thursday, August 13, as The Good Will and the WAG present the Amos the Kid with opening act, Housepanther!

Enhance your WAG Rooftop Retreat with a dinner from SMITH, the award-winning restaurant from Inn at the Forks. Inspired by the artists, performers and groups that will grace the WAG rooftop this summer, Executive Chef Barry Saunders has curated a selection of menus that are big on flavour and fun, using the best local suppliers.

For this event, choose between sweet soy-marinated pork satay or a tofu skewer over a sticky rice bowl with edamame, carrot, corn, and cucumber! Cash bar featuring select beer, wine and specialty cocktails available.

*Please note, in the case of inclement weather, the event will relocate to an indoor space in the WAG and refunds will not be issued. For the latest updates, visit our website.

Musician

Amos the Kid

Amos Nadlersmith has long been an enigmatic curiosity of the Winnipeg scene. For a time, the prolific songwriter seems to be anywhere and everywhere; then, you can’t find him if you went looking. His presence on a stage has been solitary, charming, sly, and brilliant. When it was anything at all.

Nadlersmith (guitar, vocals), Adam Fuhr (guitar), Jensen Fridfinnson (keys, vocals), Jordan Cayer (bass), and Brian Gluck (drums) are Amos the Kid.

The Inuit art centre has a new name
A group of Indigenous language keepers and elders gathered to name the Inuit art centre building and the spaces within. Qaumajuq meaning "it is bright, it is lit" is the new name for the centre.
